Family Vocation Ministries Promoting Catholic Vocations Loyalty to the Magesterium
Women's Vocations
Men's Vocations Pro-Life

A high priority for Family Vocation Ministries is to stop the culture of death; specifically abortion, euthanasia, and the contraception mentality. We firmly believe as a ministry, one of the main causes of the horror of abortion and contraception is the decline of authentic family love.

We laud the many pro-lifers who are constantly praying in front of abortion mills to turn back women who are contemplating having an abortion. We join in their efforts by focusing on the root of the problem: the disintegration of families. In our ministry and in our apostolate specifically, we pray for the end of the culture of death and make reparation for the many abortions, euthanasia killings, and contraceptive acts running rampant in our society today.

Hence, we are proud to offer a Family Holy Hour for Life at our Family Vocation Days. These holy hours will be offered before the Blessed Sacrament for the specific intentions to end abortion, euthanasia, and the contraception mentality. Reparations are asked to be made for those promoting a culture of death. We specifically schedule the Family Holy Hours for Life during the afternoon of our vocation days for two reasons: one, so it coincides during (or as close to) the Hour of Mercy (3:00PM), when Our Lord died on the Cross for all humanity, and two, the holy hour is done at a time which is sacrificial for families (a tiring afternoon hour). Sacrifices and prayers must be made to end such horrific acts of evil.

Here is a typical outline of a Family Holy Hour for Life:

  • Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
  • Homily
  • Meditative Silence with Confessions Available
  • Family Rosary and Eucharistic Hymns (while Confessions are being heard)
  • Litany to St. Joseph
  • Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament

Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament is one of the most efficacious prayers we can perform apart from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. By adoring our Lord as a family, as well as going to Confession and praying the Rosary together, we commend the many souls who have died from abortion and euthanasia, and we ask our Lord to end the legalization of killing the innocent.

If we continue to educate and sanctify families, the Gospel of Life will soon prevail over the culture of death and end legalized abortion and euthanasia. Knowing this is a difficult task, we have been given the means and instruments to accomplish it: faithful priests and consecrated religious who evangelize by their holiness of life and sound orthodox Catholic teaching along with the many families who help us in our apostolate and promote sanctity within their communities.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us!
